Warning: there are some chunks of fruit skin in this one, which some tasters disliked and others applauded. Tasters were a big fan of the texture, which combined chunks of fruit with a smooth finish. Now, mixed berry is raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and wild strawberries (they know how to party). One tester appreciated how the berries rounded each other out. Most tasters found it inoffensive, but would rather focus on one fruit than mix 'em up. ![]() The four fruits are probably not what you expected: cherries, strawberries, red currants, and raspberries. It has a slightly mealy texture, so it may not be for everyone. This spread-marketed for pairing with cheese-is "mild, but not memorable," according to one taster. It kind of looks like a pear, but tastes tough and bitter raw. A taster noted it could go well spooned over a bowl of oatmeal. Some appreciated that it was kind of like a jelly with big pieces of fruit in it, while others thought it was too runny and seedy at the same time. This preserve was a lot more loosey goosey than the others, and it divided the group. Hey, Bonne Maman, please make this as a preserve next! 16. "Super silky texture, good for spreading," said one enthusiastic reviewer. This tasted most like the grape jelly everyone grew up with, and is ideal for a slightly-grown-up PB&J. While one person noted that the peachy side "tastes like summer," most other tasters wondered if mango should be in jam form. The tropical preserve was a shocker to most people, since the newer flavor is not that common in stores yet. One staffer commented that this "lost the flavor of a fig" since it was "crazy sweet." Another noted that it could be good with cheese, but its intense chunkiness was a deterrent. ![]() The "almost creamy consistency" and "not too sweet" flavor had one person interested, but overall, tasters didn't like the texture and the way it dissolved in your mouth. Generally, the "Jell-O texture" would be a better fit for diner-style toast than filling cookies or serving with cheese. It's like if grape went on Spring Break," was one review. "Tastes like a tart, more lively version of grape. Most people were not a fan of that, but one taster noted that it's "very wintry" in flavor and could imagine eating it on a snow day.
